A witness appeal has been launched after an e-scooter rider was punched and threatened during a robbery in Hemel Hempstead.

The robbery took place at around 10.30pm on Monday, June 3, in Queensway.

A man in his 30s was riding home on an electric scooter before being approached by two men on a moped.

He was then punched in the face and threatened before the two men stole the scooter.

One of the suspects was described as wearing a cream or grey tracksuit and a black mask over his face.

Detective Constable Michael Knight, from the Dacorum Local Crime Unit, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident.

“The victim continues to be supported by officers following this distressing incident"
