Shocking footage has revealed the true extent of the flooding that caused Hemel Hempstead's Marlowes Shopping Centre to close earlier this week.
A video uploaded to YouTube shows water cascading into the building on Tuesday as stunned shoppers look on, with the rain starting to collect in large puddles on the floor of the centre.
Firefighters were called to Marlowes Shopping Centre on Tuesday afternoon, where crews found shallow water in large parts of the building.
The fire crew worked with staff to isolate the electrics and make sure the site was safe for use.
Marlowes reopened yesterday, but a number of businesses, including Gaffer, Card Factory and Baggage World remained closed.
An investigation is under way to determine the cause of the flood.
