The owner of the 'The Best Travel Agent in St Albans' has told the Herts Ad she was 'shocked but delighted' to win the award.
Lisa Fitzgerald is the owner of The Travel Princess, recognised as the best travel agent in the area at the 2024 Quality Business Awards.
Judges give out the awards to businesses that have scored a 'quality rating' of over 95 per cent, making them the best in their field. Only 1% of businesses achieve this score.
She said: "When I found out I was just really shocked. I thought, 'my goodness is that real?', I've had my business for eight years now and wasn't expecting anything like this."
She added: "I don't think I'm doing anything out of the ordinary but I do try my best to go above and beyond for my clients ".

Lisa's business relies on word of mouth and recommendations so this award represents a huge boost for her in terms of growing the business and reaching new customers across St Albans.
She said: "I've been through the ups and downs of Covid and the other crises so it's so rewarding to win this award".
She says the secret to her success is: "I'm just really passionate about travel and I think that comes through in my work."
