Harpenden Choral Society is presenting their summer concert accompanied by quintet Onyx Brass.
The concert takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 22 at High Street Methodist Church
Tickets cost £18 for adults and £8 for children and students, and are available by emailing tickets@harpendenchoralsociety.org, online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/harpendenchoralsociety.
They can also be bought in person at Creature Comforts or Thompsons Close Café in Harpenden.
Musical director John Andrews will conduct the concert, with additional accompaniment and organ solos by organist George Castle.
The programme includes works by Gabrieli, Brahms, Finzi and Stanford, with pieces for choir, brass and organ individually and in combination.
A spokesperson for the choir said: "The choir is delighted to be able to perform with Onyx Brass again as they add such an interesting dimension.

"For example, the Gloria by Giovanni Gabrieli was written for performance in St Mark’s Basilica in Venice in 12 parts – three choirs of four parts each.
"In this performance, choir three is performed by the brass quintet and this beautiful music is not usually heard in this exciting way."
Harpenden Choral Society was formed in 1975, and currently has around 75 members, with Vivien Powles as its rehearsal accompanist.
