Harpenden Common is set to play to an outdoor art fair, showcasing over 60 artists from the area in aid of cancer research.
Art on the Common has over 30 years of history and promises to showcase the very best of Hertfordshire with a range of paintings, ceramics, fine art photography, sculpture, jewellery, glass and wood all on offer, with prices starting at just £2.
The event also coincides with Saturday's (June 8) Harpenden Summer Carnival, making it perfect for a family day out in the hot weather.
Proceeds from the weekend will go to Cancer Research, who have a hand in organising the event. Over the last three years, over £17,000 has been raised for the charity.
Event organiser Liz Thompson said: “This year, for the first time, we have some artists who are exhibiting for one day only enabling us to support even more local artists, over 60 in total, so we can include a spectacular range of art from established and much-loved artists, as well as supporting new and up-coming talent.
She continued: "So, whether your particular desire is for painting and wall art, decorative glass, ceramics, fine art photography, sculpture or jewellery; or exploring the possibility of joining our local art or photography."
The event will be held on the tree-lined section of Harpenden Common, near to the town centre.
