5 St Albans planning applications to watch out for

Here are a few notices which could impact residents across the district.

1. Impala Lodge, Wheathampstead

Plans have been submitted that would see the installation of brand new solar panels at the Impala Lodge in Wheathampstead.

2. Stewart Road, Harpenden

Proposals would see a garage to be demolished at 9 Stewart Road, Harpenden.

The proposed demolition would pave the way for a rear and side extension of the property and the construction of a new loft with lights.

3. Bowers Way, Harpenden

There have also been plans for the £1.8m property on Bowers Way to get an overhaul.

The proposal would see a string of extensions in order to facilitate a loft conversion and the building of a new projecting company.

4. Rothamsted Park Depot Building

Following a council meeting last year, councillors have signalled their intent to get rid of the Rothamsted Park Depot Building.

Under the plans, the newly empty land will be transferred to Harpenden Town Council, who will maintain it as open space for the local community.

The plans can be commented on by sending an email to estates@stalbans.gov.uk by June 7.

5. Dental practice, Bowers Way

Plans have been submitted at 27 & 29 Bowers Way in Harpenden that would see the Bowers Way Dental Surgery expand in order to accommodate more patients.

The proposals would see the main surgery move from 29 downstairs to 27, with the residential flat moving above the surgery.
