A 21-year-old St Albans man has been arrested for a number of alleged offences including assaulting a police officer.
The individual from Dellfield was taken into custody at the roadside of the A414, near the Park Street roundabout, on Saturday (May 4), after a vehicle was spotted with cloned plates.
He was arrested on suspicion of fraud, theft of a motor vehicle, drug driving, driving with no insurance, driving without a licence, dangerous driving and assaulting an emergency worker.
Enquiries are ongoing.
