Flying tortoises, messy yetis, and a dinosaur adventure are coming to Harpenden schoolchildren, celebrated by an author and former Herts Ad reporter.
Ian Brown, a former TV writer and producer now known for his children's tales, is set to make a third appearance at Wood End school on Thursday, May 9.
Brown will be reading from his series of picture books, including the latest: Albert and the Flood.
Ian said: "I was delighted to visit the school over the past three years. The school librarian discovered the books as a tortoise fan herself, so the Albert the tortoise books fitted right in.
"I am thrilled to be invited back and will be sharing favourite stories and some new ones too."
The book series, illustrated by Eoin Clarke and published by Graffeg Books, has been a hit with children nationwide and has caught the attention of stars including Jeremy Clarkson and I'm A Celebrity King, Danny Miller.
Other titles read by Ian at the school will likely include Albert Upside Down, Albert and the Wind, Albert Supersize, Albert in the Air, Albert and the Pond, Albert and the Shed and Albert and his Friends.
