St Albans motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network during the coming weeks.

Four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 11 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A414, from 10pm April 15 to 5am May 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 10 to 6A - lane closure for central reservation on behalf of National Highways.

• M25, from 10pm April 15 to 6am April 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 21A to junction 19, carriageway and link road closure for surfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

• A414, from 10pm April 15 to 5am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A414 southbound, Breakspear Way Roundabout to Park Street Roundabout - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs on behalf of National Highways.

• M25, from 10pm April 18 to 5am April 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21A, carriageway closure, entry slip road closure and lane closures for maintenance works, diversion via local authority roads.

• M25, from 10pm April 18 to 5am April 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21 to junction 22, Lane closure for electrical works.

• A414, from 9pm April 19 to 5am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A414 westbound, Park Street Roundabout - lane closure due to drainage works on behalf of Ringway.

• A405, from 10pm April 20 to 5.30am April 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21 to junction 21A, Lane closures and roundabout closures for surfacing works, diversion via local authority and National Highways roads.

• M1, from 10pm April 22 to 5am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8 - lane closures due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.

• M1, from 10pm April 26 to 5am April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 8 to junction 9 - hard shoulder closure and lane closures due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.

• A405, from 10pm April 27 to 6am April 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21 to junction 21A and anti-clockwise, junction 21A to junction 21, carriageway and slip road closure for testing works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.

• A414, from 10pm April 29 to 5am May 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 9 - exit slip road closure, lane closure and diversion route for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
