Drivers in and around St Albans will have 15 National Highways road closures to watch out for in the coming weeks.
Three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A414, from 9.30am February 26 to 4pm March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 6A to junction 10 - mobile hard shoulder closures due to carriageway sweeping works on behalf of Ringway.
• M25, from 10pm February 26 to 6am March 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 21A to junction 21, Lane closures and link road closure for Joint inspections, diversion via National Highways Roads.
A further 13 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A414, from 10pm March 11 to 5am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound,, junction 8 to junction 6 - lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.
• M1, from 10pm March 11 to 5am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound,, junction 10 to junction 9 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• M25, from 10pm March 12 to 5am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21A to junction 22, lane closures for Red X Enforcement Camera maintenance.
• M1, from 10pm March 12 to 5am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound,, junction 8 to junction 10 - lane closures due to communications works on behalf of Ringway.
• M1, from 10pm March 14 to 5am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8 - hard shoulder closure and lane closures due to communications works on behalf of Ringway.
• A414, from 10pm March 14 to 5am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1/A414 northbound and eastbound, junction 8 - entry slip road closure, lane closures and diversion route due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.
• M1, from 10pm March 14 to 5am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 8 to junction 6A - lane closures due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.
• A1081, from 10pm March 15 to 5am March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 10 to junction 9 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• M25, from 10pm March 18 to 5am March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21A, Lane closures for structures inspections.
• M25, from 10pm March 19 to 5am March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21A to junction 22, Lane closure for repair of urgent signals and CCTV.
• M25, from 10pm March 20 to 5am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 23 to junction 21A, Lane closure for repair of signals.
• A405, from 10pm March 24 to 5am March 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound,, junction 6 to junction 8 - carriageway closure, lane closure and diversion route for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• M25, from 10pm March 25 to 5am March 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21, Lane closure for urgent electrical works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
