Hertfordshire's three Body Shop stores will remain open after not being named among the 75 sites set to close.
FRP Advisory - which is overseeing the retailer's restructuring after it entered administration - confirmed stores will be closed over the next four to six weeks.
Along with jobs at the company's head office, between 750 and 800 people will be made redundant.
The Body Shop will keep 116 UK stores open, with Herts stores in St Albans, atria Watford, and an outlet store at The Galleria in Hatfield among them.
"In taking swift action to right-size The Body Shop UK store portfolio, we have stabilised the business," said FRP Advisory's Tony Wright.
"We remain fully focused on exploring all options to take the business forward."
