Hertfordshire police have caught four suspected shoplifters in just three days in St Albans.
Between Monday (February 19) and yesterday (Wednesday, February 21) individuals were "dealt with" following alleged offences at TK Maxx, Co-op and M&S.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "On Monday we dealt with a shoplifter in TK Maxx who tried running away, however was caught and dealt with by police.
"Tuesday we dealt with a shoplifter from M&S who was stopped by security before police arrived.
"Lastly, today (Wednesday) we stopped two (suspected) prolific shoplifters from Co-Op who were both arrested and taken to custody.
"They will both be interviewed regarding the offence.
"Each (alleged) offender has been dealt with criminally by police.
"Shoplifting is a high priority and will always be dealt with robustly."
