Long delays have been reported between St Albans and Hemel Hempstead this morning (Tuesday, January 30), with works taking place on the A4147.
At around 8.36am, traffic was "heavier than usual" on the A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road according to Hertfordshire County Council.
Congestion was reported eastbound to the A5183 roundabout.

"Utility asset works" began at 8pm yesterday evening (Monday, January 29), being carried out by Virgin Media.
The disruption is expected to last until 5am tomorrow morning (Wednesday, January 31).
