The St Albans Soroptimists sang festive songs at St Albans City Station to raise money for a women's refuge.
They were joined at the station on Monday, December 4 by members of Viva Ladies Chorus, and entertained the passing commuters.
Singers wore orange to continue their #OrangeTheWorldHerts campaign, which involved 16 days of activism from November 25 to December 10 to help end gender-based violence.
One commuter who stopped to make a donation commented: "You're too good to walk through!"
The event raised £261 for SAHWR Women's Refuge.
Soroptimist Jane Slatter said: "We all had a great time – donations were less than last year, but that’s not really surprising with the financial situation and rail strikes too!
"Funding cuts and increased demand mean that refuges really need money from our fundraising so we were grateful to everyone who donated on the night.

The event was timed on the closest Monday to Human Rights Day, when Soroptimists all around the world take action at the end of the #OrangeTheWorld campaign.
After their singing session, the group retired to the White Hart Tap for a well-earned supper.
