A St Albans pub is back and better than ever after a "transformative six-figure investment".
The Hare & Hounds in Sopwell Lane reopened earlier this month after owners, the Stonegate Group, closed the boozer back in August to give it a major revamp.
A favourite among St Albans punters, efforts were made to preserve the pub's historic charm while also making a range of improvements, including an updated bar, with new beer additions including Guinness, Amstel, and Moretti.
Guests can also expect to see a brand-new food menu in the coming weeks, featuring a wide range of options from burgers and pasta to steak and seafood.
Decoratively, the venue has been given a new lease of life, with a brand-new ceiling, refurbished floors, fresh paint and modernised furnishings.

The pub will also now offer private bookings too, offering a welcoming space for all those special occasions.
"I am so thrilled to have the pub back open," said Hare and Hounds publican Paul.
"It’s a local favourite, and we can’t wait to re-establish our presence within the community.
"We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our incredible new look pub, to come and try our new offerings.
"We are also very grateful for the support Stonegate Group have given to us, and I’m excited to see what the future brings for the pub."
