A St Albans schoolboy has been airlifted to hospital after reports regarding concerns for his welfare.
Officers were called to The Marlborough Science Academy, off Watling Street, at 8.40am yesterday (November 1), with an ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle, rapid response vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance all rushing to the scene.
The boy was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment.
"Police were called at 8.40am today (November 1), to report a concern for welfare of a boy at the Marlborough Science Academy in Watling Street, St Albans," a spokesperson for Hertfordshire police said.
"Officers along with the ambulance service attended the scene. The boy has been taken to hospital."
The Herts Ad has contacted Marlborough Science Academy for a comment, but is yet to receive a response.
