Ghostly apparitions and ghouls are expected in St Albans city centre, as a new Halloween trail is launched.
The Paranormal Pumpkin Patch trail, organised by St Albans BID, tasks participants to find "kooky ghosts" that have taken up residence in the city's pumpkins.
The event will run until October 31 and requires ghost-seekers to scan a QR code on any paranormal pumpkin poster, before searching for ghosts in the windows of 10 businesses.
A free e-book can be downloaded once the quest has been completed.
Vivien Cannon, manager at St Albans BID, said: “It’s time to have some fun with friends and family and we are delighted to partner with High Street Safari to offer this free interactive trail.
"Augmented Reality (AR) trails are a great way to get people out and about, exploring and discovering shops and locations that perhaps they haven’t previously visited.
“Taking part is easy. Simply scan a QR code on one of the 10 posters and off you go!
