An uninsured Toyota was seized by Hertfordshire police in St Albans city centre.
The Aygo was stopped by officers on Chequer Street, at 4.55pm on Tuesday (October 17).
Motorists without car insurance may be subject to fines of £300 and six penalty points on their driving licence.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Another day, another uninsured car.
"A reminder, driving without valid insurance carries a fixed penalty of £300 and six penalty points on your licence."
