Cars were brought to a halt on the M25 due to a police-led incident yesterday.
Officers have today (September 28) confirmed they were called to a vehicle on Wednesday, September 27, which was wanted in connection with a burglary.
The M25 was closed in both directions between junction 22 (St Albans) and 23 (South Mimms) while work was carried out to trace the suspects.
The #M25 in #Hertfordshire was blocked both ways between J22 and J23 due to an @hertspolice lead incident. Traffic has now been released but delays remain and will start to ease shortly.

A 45-year-old man from Bedford and a 20-year-old man from Long Marston were arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft.
It is believed the burglary was in Bishop's Stortford.
