An up-coming-band has won the chance to perform at this year's Pub in the Park event in St Albans.
Local rockers BEAF will play alongside chart toppers Craig David, Rudimental and Sam Ryder, at the popular food and music event, organised by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge.
They had to work for their chance though, beating competition from three other local acts in a Battle of the Bands competition, held at The Horn last week.
BEAF were picked by the judges as the winners, earning themselves a recording session with Mix926 Radio, as well as their slot at Pub in the Park.
"We’re so excited to be showcasing local talent at Pub in the Park St Albans and we can’t wait to see BEAF take to the big stage doing what they do best," said Russell Phillips from Pub in the Park, and one of the competition’s judges.
"Having seen their amazing performance at Battle of the Bands last week, we know they’ll be great and we’re thrilled for the local community to see them in action."

Beaf comprises of Tom on vocals, Adam on guitar, Sam on bass, and Jude on drums, and they refer to themselves as the beafiest boys with the beafiest noise.
And they hope to bring that noise to Pub in the Park, saying: "We’re all local to Herts and met at West Herts college forming the band there.
"We’ve played at The Horn several times in the past year, as well as a gig at The Pioneer Club. We always love coming down to St Albans and tearing it up with our beafy choons."
Pub in the Park will take place in Verulamium Park from September 8 to 10, with food ranging from classic British pub grub to sunny Spanish delights, and Afghan barbecue to Indian comfort food.
Four new additions are being welcomed to this year's event, while a Chef’s Special dish being introduced on each menu, with the The Hand & Flowers’ Chef’s Special being Tom Kerridge's take on a classic curry dog.
