The ever-popular Flamstead Scarecrow Festival took place at the weekend, with traditional and creative masterpieces on display.
The village's competition took place from Friday, August 18 to Sunday, August 20.
Along with a wide variety of scarecrows on show, visitors enjoyed barbecues, live music, market stalls and minature steam train rides..

Scarecrows representing Elton John, Bowzer from Super Mario Bros, Barbie, Postman Pat, Guns & Roses, Shaun the Sheep and Gandalf were all displayed outside residents' houses.
The competition has been running since 2002, when founder Peter Milson introduced the idea to the village.

Since then, the festival has been raising money for charities and the village's church every year, other than those affected by COVID-19.
Last year, the event raised £18,000 for good causes and the Friends of St Leonard’s.
