St Albans band Enter Shikari have announced a partnership with the Pioneer Club music venue, to "make more things happen" in the city.
Music magazine Headliner have also joined the collaboration, which will see the venue's fortunes "revitalised".
Having been opened as a charity for young evacuees in 1941, The Pioneer Club is the site of the UK's oldest skatepark, and was "instrumental" in the formation of The Zombies.

Enter Shikari have donated a number of items to a charity raffle to raise money for the project.
A St Albans-themed T-shirt has also been released.
A statement on the band's website reads: "Headliner Spaces was set up with not just with the aim to reinstate The Pioneer Club as a touring-circuit grassroots venue, but also to have a wider reach into the community and transform the site into a creative and cultural hub.

"To that end, the venue will also accommodate a rehearsal space and Dolby Atmos recording studio, as well as providing education, training, and experience for aspiring artists, live music crew and recording technicians.
"Headliner Spaces has already overseen the renovation of the venue (including installation of a new bar, in partnership with the good people of Signature Brew) and the studio build, with more plans for the near future."
