A section of the A414 near St Albans is closed this afternoon after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash.
Herts police confirmed that the road was closed between London Colney and Park Street following a single-vehicle crash.
Motorist are being ask to avoid the area while officers deal with the incident.

"Please be aware the A414 is closed from London Colney to Park Street following a single vehicle road traffic collision," police confirmed.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible. Thank you."
Herts police confirmed to the Herts Ad that a motorcyclist was "seriously injured" in the crash, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
"Officers from the Road Police Unit attended along with colleagues from the ambulance service and have closed the road from London Colney to Park Street," said a spokesman.
"The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries although they are not deemed life-changing or life-threatening."
