PureGym has confirmed its plans to construct a new facility at a retail park in London Colney.

The 10,000 sq ft gym would occupy Unit 1 of the Colney Fields Shopping Park, off Barnet Road.

Advertising consent has already been awarded for PureGym, which could sit adjacent to a new Greggs outlet.

The site is estimated to open some time in 2024.

A spokesperson for PureGym told The Herts Advertiser: "We are delighted to be opening a brand-new gym in London Colney in 2024.

"The c.10,000 sq. ft. gym in Colney Fields Shopping Park will provide members with 24/7 access to over 220 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment along with group exercise classes and access to our certified PTs.

PureGym's planning application for advertising consent can be viewed via the St Albans City & District Council planning portal, using reference 5/2022/2693.
