Plans to open a new PureGym in London Colney have been announced.
The branch would occupy Unit 1 in Colney Fields Shopping Park, off Barnet Road.
Advertising consent has been awarded for the location, which could sit adjacent to a new Greggs outlet.
PureGym is a chain of 24-hour gyms founded in 2008.

Permission has been given for illuminated signs, an advertisement projecting from the front of the building and the addition of the PureGym logo to Colney Field's existing car park sign.
A total of eight signs would be constructed, which "is considered to relate to the character and appearance of commercial advertisements within Colney Fields Shopping Park".

Case officer George Kent, of St Albans City & District Council, wrote: "Given the context, the proposed signage would not result in any adverse impacts in terms of visual amenity, and would comply with Policy 78 (Advertisement Control) of the St Albans City and District Local Plan Review 1994, and the National Planning Policy Framework 2021...
"...The proposed advertisement display is considered acceptable.
"It will have no detrimental impact on visual amenity nor on highway safety."
PureGym have been approached for comment.
The application can be viewed via the St Albans City & District Council planning portal, using reference 5/2022/2693.
