The Eric Morecambe Centre in Harpenden has opened its first community photography exhibition, themed around 'the environment'.
Mayor of Harpenden Cllr Fiona Gaskell opened the exhibition by cutting a 35mm film strip instead of a ribbon, and all the exhibiting photographers were invited to the launch.
After the opening, Cllr Gaskell viewed the work on show, which includes a range of close-ups and action shots, as well as landscape scenes, all produced by local photographers.
The exhibition runs from 10am to 4pm each day until Saturday, August 12, excluding Sundays.
Theatre contract manager Jo Ditch said: "We are delighted to create and host this event.

"The response to exhibit has surpassed expectations, as has the quality of talent in the Community. Really well done to all the exhibitors."
Anyone is welcome to come and view the photos at the theatre and have a cup of tea or coffee, while looking out at the surroundings of Rothamsted Park.
The Eric Morecambe Centre is a cultural and entertainment centre which opened its doors to the community in September 2021, on the site of the town's former sports facility.
The centre includes a 511-seat theatre where both local and touring shows are staged.
