The St Albans branch of popular burger chain Honest Burgers has closed for good.
The Christopher Place restaurant shut its doors last weekend (April 1 and 2), citing "change in customer demand" as the reason for its closure.
Despite Honest Burgers discontinuing its site in St Albans, the chain claims to be "trading very well" and hopes to open new branches across the country.

A spokesperson for Honest Burgers told The Herts Advertiser: "We have recently closed the doors of our St Albans restaurant.
"Like many businesses in the hospitality sector, we are continually reviewing our portfolio and at the current time, we have chosen to close our St Albans site due to a change in customer demand in the area.
"Honest Burgers is currently trading very well and we are still planning to open further new sites across the country this year.
"We’d like to thank our fantastic customers in St Albans – and apologise that we won’t have a site in that community for now.
"We hope that they’ll still get the chance to visit us at another Honest Burgers location – www.honestburgers.co.uk. We’d also like to thank our amazing team, who we are working with to see if they’d like to relocate to one of our other sites."
