An amateur dramatics society - of which, Eric Morecambe was once president - is in "urgent need" of between £40,000 and £50,000.
The funds are required to replace Kimpton Players' rehearsal room, situated behind Memorial Hall in Hall Lane, Kimpton.

The room was constructed in 1970s and is used for rehearsals, junior Kimpton Players meetings, readings and recordings.
However, serious issues with damp, a squirrel infestation - which damaged the building's electrics - and a water leak has meant that the building can only be used for costume storage.

The organisation has submitted a grant application to Kimpton Parish Council, and is hoping to gain funds from a range of sources including Arts Council England.
A JustGiving page has also been created, which has raised £311 so far.
The registered charity was created in 1943, and organises between two and three amatuer dramatics productions per year.
