The new planning application details floor plans for the Chipotle restaurant, and the inclusion of a red Chipotle sign at the front of the venue.
When approached for comment, a spokesperson for Chipotle Mexican Grill said: "We do not currently have a location planned in St Albans, but Chipotle is always exploring opportunities to bring our real food to more great communities."
However, the spokesperson later added: "We are exploring opportunities to bring our real food to St Albans."
