Popular chicken shop Chicken George Jnr could be coming to St Albans soon after teasing the opening of a new restaurant in the city.
The award-winning business, which has locations in Bedford and Hitchin, announced on Instagram that it was looking to open its next location, with St Albans seemingly their top priority.
"The hunt for our next property has started. Can you guess where?," they revealed in a story to their more than 44,000 followers.
A series of letters followed, teasing "_t _l__n_" as the home for a new restaurant.
Starting out almost 40 years ago in Luton, the business has grown in recent years, with its Hitchin shop becoming increasingly popular, with tasty chicken strips, wings and burgers attracting plenty of customers.
Chicken George also fed the England football team during Euro 2020, as the Three Lions reached the final before losing to Italy on penalties, and the Sacarcens rugby team.
