Officers are appealing for information to help their investigation into a £150,000 cannabis factory that was found last week.
The factory was discovered in Stapley Road on Tuesday, November 29, after CCTV operators at St Albans City and District Council alerted police to suspicious activity in the city centre.
Klodijam Koci, 26, of no fixed abode, has been charged with cultivating cannabis, a class B controlled drug. He has been remanded in custody until January 3, 2023.
A 26-year-old man remains under investigation for abstracting electricity.
“We would like to hear from anyone in roads near Stapley Road with doorbell cameras or CCTV who may have captured suspicious behaviour overnight between Monday 28 November and Tuesday 29 November,” said Detective Constable Laura Bovington from the Local Crime Unit.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious during these times.”
Anyone with any information is asked to email laura.bovington@herts.police.uk.
