A racist slur has been sprayed in red paint on the rear window of a house near Harpenden.
Police are investigating the criminal damage, and are appealing for witnesses and informaton.
It was reported that at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, October 25, a racially offensive term was sprayed in red paint onto a rear window of a house on Housden Close in Wheathampstead.
Two men in dark clothing, around 5ft 10ins tall and of a skinny build were seen running from the area around the time of the incident.
PC C-Jay Callaghan, who is investigating, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Housden Close area, or who may have caught something unusual on their CCTV, on the evening of Tuesday, October 25.
“If you have any information about this incident which could assist our enquiries then please contact me by email via c-jay.callaghan@herts.police.uk”
