Two men have been arrested for allegedly impersonating charity fundraisers in St Albans.
The arrests were made in St Peter's Street, on suspicion of committing fraud by false representation.
Hertfordshire police have warned residents to be vigilant with who they gift money to as Christmas approaches.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "In the run up to Christmas in particular, please be aware who you give charitable donations to.
"Fraudsters often operate in plain sight wearing hi-vis jackets, with collection buckets and all the usual material associated with a legitimate charity collection.
"Please check who you are actually giving to before dropping your money in the bucket...
"...Most household charities do not sub-contract fundraising to third parties.
"Be suspicious of anyone claiming to represent a large charity who don't seem to have branded posters etc. from that charity.
"If in doubt, consider sending your money directly to the charity of your choice."
