Two cars have been "destroyed by fire" during an alleged arson attack in Hemel Hempstead.
The incident took place at around 10pm on Thursday (November 3), at an address in Roughdown Avenue.
According to Hertfordshire police, both vehicles were destroyed and an investigation has since been launched.
DS John Prendergast said: "Thankfully no one was injured but this reckless behaviour could have had a very different outcome.
“Two offenders were seen in dark clothing setting the vehicles alight, with no known reason for them to be targeted, so it is obviously quite a concerning incident.
“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to make contact with us.
"Were you in the area? Did you see something unusual?
"If you have any suspicions at all, please come forward as it could be vital to our investigation.
“If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please check it and get in touch if you spot something suspicious.
"We’d also encourage people to check their CCTV or doorbell cameras.”
Information can also be reported via the Herts police website or by calling non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/67800/22.
Anonymous information can be given by contacting the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
