A new pub in St Albans city centre has delayed its opening until after Christmas.
Issues relating to the age of the building have been cited as the cause for The Saint & Sinner delay.
The McMullen pub is set to occupy the city centre's former Nationwide branch on St Peter's Street.
An opening had originally been planned for October, however "building delays" have meant that McMullens will instead focus on a new hotel in Hertford and pubs in Stevenage and Whitechapel.
A spokesperson for McMullen told The Herts Advertiser: "We are coming across some building delays with the old building and will now open after Christmas.
"We will know more in the coming weeks.
"It is a shame, but it does allow us to focus on our 35-bedroom hotel development in Hertford, which opens in December, and the newly-acquired pubs in Stevenage and Whitechapel."
