A guitarist who has performed and recorded with such legends as Paul McCartney, George Harrison, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Michael Jackson will be appearing in concert in St Albans.
Veteran rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Mason arrives at The Alban Arena with his band on Wednesday, March 1.
Featuring hits and deep cuts from iconic Traffic albums, stories from Dave, plus new material and a selection of classics, Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam is a show for all fans of rock and 60s culture to witness up close.
Traffic, featuring Mason and Steve Winwood, formed in the 1960s when the two of them were just teenagers.
They were known for hits such as Paper Sun, Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush, Feelin’ Alright?, which was first recorded by Traffic in 1968 and was then covered the following year for Joe Cocker, and psychedelic pop song Hole in My Shoe.
Mason has also performed and recorded with the likes of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, David Crosby, Graham Nash, and Derek and the Dominos.
He played guitar on the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s cover of Bob Dylan track All Along the Watchtower, which appeared on the Electric Ladyland album.
Tickets for Dave Mason’s concert in St Albans cost £28.50 and £32.50.
