Cinderella will be going to the ball in St Albans when the Vienna Festival Ballet returns to The Alban Arena.
Featuring music by Rossini and choreography by Sheila Styles, the acclaimed Vienna Festival Ballet presents the classic tale of Cinderella at The Alban Arena on Saturday, April 22.
In one of the best-known rags-to-riches fairy tales of all time, a mistreated young girl, a glass slipper, two comical ugly step-sisters and a handsome prince combine to make the perfect piece of storytelling.
Based on the traditional story, the VFB ballet combines classical dancing alongside a touch of pantomime, and is sure to touch the hearts of anyone who attends.
The Vienna Festival Ballet was founded by celebrated Austrian dancer Peter Mallek, and aims to bring classical ballet to the public nationwide at affordable prices.
Touring eight months a year, this production of Cinderella contains a collection of Italian composer G A Rossini’s most famous operatic achievements, especially arranged for the Vienna Festival Ballet.
Tickets for the 2.30pm performance cost £23, and concessions £20 and £15.
