A tree which fell onto the M25 near St Albans has been cleared away.
All lanes are open on the motorway after a tree partially blocked the M25 clockwise between junction 19 at Leavesden and junction 20 for the A41 at Watford.
At one stage during the disruption, National Highways said that there were queues of up to one hour, with tailbacks to the M40 at Uxbridge.
High winds during Storm Eunice have caused trees to fall over on roads throughout Hertfordshire today (Friday, February 18).
There was a red weather warning in place in Hertfordshire between 10am and 3pm, which meant there was a "danger to life" due to strong winds.
At the time, Hertfordshire Constabulary wrote on Twitter: "Please only travel if essential."
