SMITH JILL After a long battle with Alzheimers and Parkinsons, Jill Smith (nee Jill Daphne Dewsbury) finally slipped away peacefully – and without pain – at Field House, Harpenden on 19th October, 2017. Predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline, and her devoted husband, Reg, who incidentally passed away on the same day exactly 52 weeks earlier, she is survived by her brother, Jeremy, her four children, Helen, Alison, Patrick and Jo, as well as a dozen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will sorely miss her laughter and vivacious personality. Her funeral service will take place at Luton’s Vale Crematorium at midday on 17th November, to be followed by a reception at2pm in the main lounge at Field House, Townsend Road.
