Cuddly new arrivals were admired by a record-breaking 5,000 visitors at Oaklands College’s annual lambing event.
Last Sunday thousands of people stopped by the sun-drenched Smallford Campus to meet newborn lambs, chicks, goats, pigs, alpacas, wallabies and emus.
During the morning the crowd also witnessed one of the ewes give birth to twins with the assistance of the college’s farm manager Del Knowles.
College principal Zoe Hancock said: “What a fantastic day. We are now in our third year of Lambing Day and it was such a success. Those who timed it right witnessed the birth of twins – an unforgettable experience.”
