David Noble has made his first signing as St Albans City head coach by landing a young defender on loan from Cambridge United.
Mamadou Jobe, 19, heads to Clarence Park until the end of the season.
He has made one appearance for the League One side, playing the full game in a 4-1 win over Oxford United in the Papa John's Trophy back in August 2021.
His first taste of senior football came on loan with Cambridge's partner club, St Neots Town, and from there he switched to Concord Rangers for the latter part of last season.
He will have to wait for his debut though after Saints' home game with Havant & Waterlooville was postponed due to a frozen and snow-covered pitch.
They are next in action away to Hemel Hempstead Town on Boxing Day.
