Young writers who attend weekly creative writing sessions in Saffron Walden are launching collections of their work.
The launch will take place at Hart's Books on Wednesday, May 15.
One of the books is Writers Room - Volume 3 - a compendium of poems and short stories by the young people who attend the Creative Walden sessions at Fairycroft House.
The other is Tartarus' Box, a tale of Greek mythology written by 13-year-old Lily Worboyes and illustrated by Lainie Bazzoni-Skinner.
Tartarus' Box was inspired by Lily's grandmother, who used to read her the Greek fables when she was little.
Alice Bromell, a tutor at Writers Room who was pivotal in nurturing Lily's talent when she joined two years ago, presented her with a 'Creative Courage' award at the bookshop ahead of the launch.
Alice said: "We’re so proud of what she has achieved, and it was wonderful to see the delight on her face when she saw her book on the shelves of Hart’s alongside some of her favourite authors."
Last year Lily and her mum Laura raised more than £2,000 for Writers Room by climbing Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain.
Her feat was made all the more impressive as Lily suffers from SPD - a debilitating sensory condition which causes a barrage of sensory input with no effective filter.
This means that touch can be intolerable, making everyday tasks such as putting on shoes or brushing her hair difficult.
Laura, who attended the presentation, said: "Lily has missed a lot of school because of her SPD, but she never misses a session at Fairycroft.
"In fact, it can be a job to get her to leave. I am so grateful for everything they do, not just for Lily but all the children there."

Paul Bellany, who runs the writing group at Fairycroft House, said: "There are courageous children, then there is Lily Worboyes.
"Against such personal adversity she manages to produce such excellent work and she always does it with a smile."
Writers Room sessions operate during term time, and give children the chance to develop their own ideas and projects.
