A magician, an international freestyle football star, and a circus performer are just some of the acts topping the bill at a new family festival coming to Hertfordshire this summer.

Kids Fest Herts is taking place on August 19 in the Festival Field at Willows Activity Farm, London Colney, with a full line-up of family fun set to keep little ones (and big ones!) entertained.

The new event is aimed at families with children up to ten years.

Kids Fest Herts special events manager Sarah Taylor said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be launching our first family festival this summer. 

"Our team has put in immense effort to create an unforgettable experience that is jam-packed with interactive activities, live performances, and educational workshops that all children will love.”

Sarah added: “We have an amazing programme of entertainers, activities, play and fun for all our guests, whatever their age.

“Families are also welcome to camp overnight, either before or after the festival with their own tent or one that we can provide.”

 

What can visitors expect at Kids Fest Herts?

Award-winning children’s performer and magician, Bam Bam, will be entertaining visitors with magic, bubbles and games.

Circus performers will be teaching children how to juggle, walk on stilts and spin plates.

The Mad Science team will be demonstrating some explosive experiments with the opportunity for children to take part.

And baby sensory experts, Hartbeeps, will also be on hand entertaining babies and toddlers with their unique mix of music and storytelling.

On top of that, Guinness World Record star and international freestyle footballer, Jamie Knight will be showcasing his ball skills and teaching guests tips and tricks to wow their friends, while Captain Fantastic brings a non-stop show of magic, music and jokes to share with the audience.

There will also be superhero characters, the Unicorn Princess, and Peter Rabbit and friends to meet on the day.

As well as a host of performers, there will also be live music, crazy golf and pop-up food stalls serving a wide selection of food from barbecue favourites to delicious waffles.

Kids Fest Herts takes place from 2-7pm on August 19, 2023, at Willows Activity Farm in Coursers Road, London Colney, near St Albans. 

Tickets can be purchased in advance online. Camping tickets include access to Kids Fest Herts.
