Twelve Hertfordshire girl guides were cheered on as they walked down the Mall, to the gates of Buckingham Palace, for the Trooping of the Colour.
The 12 lucky Girlguiding Hertfordshire members attended the event on Saturday (June 17).
Sienna, from 1st Park Street Brownies, recalled the occasion: "We made our way into London to watch this historic occasion inside the youth enclosure, next to the Horse Guards Parade.

"Whilst waiting we were greeted by members of the police, military and Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.
"They answered any questions from the girls and kept us entertained while we waited for the parade to start.

"We watched the military guards march past, followed by those on horseback – notably the Household Cavalry’s mounted band.
"We kept our eyes peeled for the royals in the middle of the parade – we spotted King Charles on horseback as well as Kate and Camilla in the carriage.
"The highlight of the day was walking down the mall, past the members of the public who were cheering us on.
"We were lucky enough to stand at the gates of Buckingham palace, to wave to the royals on the balcony and watch the fly past.
"A day to remember for everyone who attended!”
